Fransesca is 62 years old and, like many older people in Central Ameria, she has no pension to rely on. To support herself, she continues to run a small business; selling products such as honey, cacao, coconut milk, and turmeric, all processed by her own hands. Each day she travels from place to place, often on foot, carrying heavy boxes to sell her products. But as she gets older and struggles with back pain, this work is becoming increasingly difficult.
Fransesca's home is located in a great spot, right next to a popular beach destination visited by many tourists every day. Her dream is to sell her products from a small stall at her house, but she does not have the resources to build one herself. We hope to help her create a simple covered stand where she can safely display and sell her products close to home. Ruth is 30 years old and lives with physical and mental disabilities, which make it difficult for her to find and keep regular work. She is the mother of a 12-year-old daughter, that has similar dissabilities. Both are facing ongoing health challenges that often bring additional expenses. When she has the opportunity, Ruth earns a little income by washing clothes for others, a job she enjoys and does well. However, these opportunities are limited, and it is difficult for her to earn enough to support herself and her family. She often visits different people to try and ask for some money, because she can't survive without help.
Our goal is to find a sponsor for Ruth that can help with 30 dollars a month, which she can use to buy food and medical necessities for both her and her daughter. It will give her just a little bit more indepency and financial structure. Will you support her?

Help fund a community project for women and children
In the Latin culture the men more go out on the street and to work, and the women stay more at home. Therefore it's sometimes easier to see the problems the men are struggling with, and therefore easier to give support. The women are hiding it more at home and it seems more difficult to reach them.
Therefore we want to build a small playground for children, with a place for the women to sit together. Nothing like this exists in the neighbourhood. In this way the women can meet with eachother while their kids are playing, and also we can start to talk and bond with them, to spread God's love and see what the needs are.
